★：コーラス３は聞き取りによる。1960年代に放映された人気ＴＶ番組をリストアップしているようだが不明なものは適当に訳した（疑問符のある所）。ルーシーは『ルーシーショー』のルシル・ボール、デジーは彼女の夫デジー・アーネズ。ルート６６はアクション、犯罪ドラマ。ハントリー＆ブリンクリー・リポートはニュース番組。キルデアはドクター・キルデア、ケイシーはベン・ケイシーでいずれも医療ドラマ。『ミッチと歌おう』はミッチ・ミラー。ヒッチコックは『ヒッチコック劇場』。カーロフは怪奇俳優ボリス・カーロフのTV番組か。エミール・グリフィスは1960年代前半のボクシング世界王者。

※ 好みのものをリストアップしながらも何よりもいいのは恋することだと歌うジャズ・ソング。
リスト・ソングによくあることで、歌い手ごとにアイテムを入れ替えるので様々な歌詞が生まれるが、主に 1963年ジュニア・マンス・トリオをバックに歌った最初の録音のアイリーン・クラル版の歌詞と、それにボブ・ドロウ自身が『クリーム・オン・ベイグル・ソング』と呼ぶボブ・ドロウ版の２系統の歌詞に大別される。
アイリーン・クラル版はアル・ジャロウ、タック・パティ、ニーナ・フリーロンなどが、ボブ・ドロウ版はナタリー・コール、ヒラリー・コール、ダイアン・ハブカなどが歌っている。またシーラ・ジョーダンのようにミックス版の歌唱もある。他にも多くの歌手によって歌われており 21世紀以降の近年もジャズ歌手には人気の歌のようだ。（SecondHandSongs によるパフォーマー・リストを参照）
