※ シナモンやクローヴは刺激的なブラジルの雰囲気を意味しているのだろう。1965年頃から女性歌手２人を配して人気となったラテン・ポップ・グループのセルジオ・メンデス＆ブラジル '66が紹介した歌。作詞のアラン＆マリリン・バーグマン夫妻はこのグループのために "So Many Stars", "Like a Lover" 他数曲をブラジル'66のために書いている。作曲はジャズ畑出身のジョニー・マンデル。
それなりにヒットしたこの歌は後にマーク・マーフィー、橋本一子、ピンキー・ウィンターズ、スー・レイニー、マーリーン・ヴァープランクなどのジャズ系歌手も取り上げた。（SecondHandSongs によるパフォーマー・リスト参照）
