この歌で一番好きなのはルー・ロウルズの 1965年の友人たちを呼んでのスタジオ・ライヴ。6分半という長い曲だが後半の約3分は、ベースが刻むリズムをバックに彼独自の歌詞を加えて自在に歌っている。

※ 1960年代に人気を誇ったブルース、ソウル、ジャズ歌手のルー・ロウルズだが、彼の バイオグラフィー では、彼の声は 『独特で直ぐに誰の声か分かる』ものであり、更にある評論家は 『砂糖のように甘く、ヴェルヴェットのように柔らかく、鋼鉄のように硬く、バターのように滑らか』 な声と称賛している。しかし私自身は密かに彼を 「アメリカの浪曲師」 と呼んでいる。それは絞り出すようでいてしわがれていない硬い声質が浪曲師を思い起こさせることもあり、更にこのライヴの後半でも聞かれる自在な節回しもそう思わせるからである。
