※　ワーナー・ブラザーズのテクニカルカラー映画であり、最初のゴールドディガーズ映画である Gold Diggers of Broadway （邦題：ブロードウェイの黄金時代）で、ギタリスト＆歌手のニック・ルーカスが紹介した。ルーカスはジャズギターのパイオニアらしく wiki には「ジャズギターの祖父」との記述があったが、歌手としてのピークは 1920s - 1930s であった。ロバート・レッドフォード主演の The Great Gatsby (華麗なるギャツビー, 1974) ではルーカスの I'm Gonna Charleston Back to Charleston, When You and I Were Seventeen, "Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue" が聞かれる。

この歌はニック・ルーカスのシグネチュアソングだが、1968 年にウクレレ奏者＆歌手のタイニー・ティム Tiny Tim がファルセットで歌いリヴァイヴァルヒットさせたため、どちらかというと一般のアメリカ人はタイニー・ティムの歌というイメージの方が強いらしい。
